All about Lily...

Our sweet baby girl is a few days away from turning 3 months old!
She has been an absolute blast and blessing and learns new things every day it seems!
We wanted to share with you just a few of the things she has started doing!

Today (Feb.3) we heard her laugh out loud for the 1st time! Too cute!

She has the most contagious smile!

She has started using her hands and puts things in her mouth!

So proud of herself!

She loves using her tongue and occasionally will stick it out at us!

Daddy is teaching baby girl new tricks!
Turn up the volume!!!

She started sleeping through the night in her crib...Praise the Lord!
We are loving sleeping again!
She is sleeping about 10hrs each night and taking naps during the day.

She recently started holding her hands together and is getting a strong grip on things.

Her favorite thing to do is play on her playmat...she loves the flower that plays music!
Julie found her rolling over on her side one day while she was playing on her mat!
We can't believe she'll be on the move before we know it!!

Lily admiring her precious daddy!

We had our first play date at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco!
She loved watching all the kids play! She's a people watcher like her momma!

Sunday, January 31st...Lily's first day in the nursery at church!
Yes, we finally gave in and let the sweet ladies in the nursery take care of our baby girl!
We had been taking her to service with us, but knew it was time to share the love!
She did so good!

Here's a video of Lily fighting taking a nap!
She is so tired and doesn't want to give in...it's the funniest thing!
This video is about 2min long...turn the volume up...it's precious!
Carter thinks she just doesn't want to miss anything so she tries so hard to stay awake!

Can you believe how much she's changed just over the past month! Crazy!!

Cutest B&B in town!

In the previous post Julie shared pictures from her friend's baby shower.
Now that you have seen those pics...we have to tell you all about the adorable place where the shower was! It is now Julie's favorite place and she will not stop talking about it!
The shower was at Roseville Bed & Breakfast in Marshall, TX off of Hwy 80 just outside of Hallsville, where Julie grew up. Julie, her Mom and Lily decided to make a weekend out of it and spend the night at the B&B so they could just wake up Saturday morning and already be there for the shower. And they are SO glad they did!
They met the sweetest couple, Melvin & Virginia who own the B&B. Absolutely precious!
This post could be forever long if Julie described the entire experience...
so here are a few pics and please visit their website and take a little trip to Marshall to check it out for yourself! You will experience hospitality at its finest, no doubt!

The bedrooms and bathrooms have so much character!
Virginia did an amazing job decorating the house!

Not only was the house adorable, and the owners super friendly, but the food was out of this world! And the best part is that Melvin & Virginia are happy to share their recipes and Julie and her Mom even bought their cookbook! Can you tell they had a blast here!?

You can order a cookbook from their website and it also includes the history of the B&B!
Anyone that has had Stein's petit fours, knows they are the best...well...Julie would argue that Virginia's petit fours are even better! No kidding! The recipe is in the cookbook!

Lily had a great time too! She can't wait to go back!

Brooke's Baby Shower

This past weekend Julie, Lily and Grandma (Julie's Mom) went to Marshall, TX where Julie was a hostess for her friend Brooke's baby shower! Brooke and Julie went to HS together in Hallsville and were in each others weddings and are so excited about both having babies around the same time! Fun times!

2 month check-up

Lily's 2 month check-up went great! She brought home two A+'s again!
She now weighs 10lbs 15oz (75%) and is 23in (90%)!

Here's our little cutie getting buckled in to go to the Dr., she's all smiles as she looks at her daddy! Not for long though...

Oh goodness...she was not happy after her shots! Bless her heart!

Lily attended her first luncheon with the other minister's wives with Julie on Tuesday and then visited some friends before heading home. She was tuckered out from all the excitement!

Christmas 2009!

What a fun year this was with sweet Lily and all of our family!
Thank you Lord for letting us celebrate this precious time with both of our families!

We were so excited that Carter got to teach the children's message at our Christmas Eve service! He did a great job and the kids actually listened...well...for a few minutes anyway!
It was precious! Couldn't help but think about Lily being down there one day!

After the Christmas Eve service at church, we crossed the street to Grandma & Papa's (Julie's parents) to spend the night because of the snow and ice that blew in!
Lily enjoyed her first "Night Before Christmas" story!

Christmas morning...Lily already tuckered out from all the excitement!
Daddy holding his precious angel...while wearing his Transformer pants! ha ha ha

Santa makes house calls!?
Yep...he did for the Morris household anyway! He got wind that Lily wanted to have her picture made with Santa but was too young to make it to the mall...so he flew in to see her just in time! How sweet!

The day after Christmas, the Wortham family got together!

Julie's Family

O'Daddy & Big Momma (Carter's parents) came in from TN to see us the day after Christmas! Here is sweet Lily and her O'Daddy taking a nap!

Andy (Carter's brother), Amy, Bo, Bryce & Brennan also came in from TN to spend a few days with us! Here is Carter, better known as "Uncle C" with this bunch, posing with Brennan (3) and Bryce (9)!

Her first full day at home!
Bright eyed and oh SO sweet!

Our baby girl is doing great...absolutely perfect in every way!
We, on the other hand...are not so perfect and are hoping Lily will be patient with us as we figure this parenting thing out! One thing we do know...is that our God is an incredible God! He created this miracle for His purpose and we plan to raise her to know Him in the most personal way and to live her life to glorify Him and make Him known.
Thank you Lord for this precious gift...

39 weeks...

Our sweet Lily is about the size of a mini watermelon this week...or at least that's the "norm"! Well, we found out today that our Lily is probably not the "norm", but she may be more like a medium to large watermelon!! ha ha ha

We'll keep you posted!

38 weeks...

The estimated weight for Lily this week is about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long! She has a firm grasp, which we'll soon be able to test when we hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
Now we just wait! We are so ready to hold our precious Lily in our arms!

Maternity Pics...

Several weeks ago, we decided to have some maternity pictures taken by Ashley Swallow, which we met through blog land!
She is fabulous...check out some of the pics on her blog...more coming soon!

37 weeks...

Lily is full term! This means that if she arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though our due date is still three weeks away. Our baby girl weighs about 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel. She could possibly have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long! So cool!

Our doctor appt. today went great! We are just waiting patiently for sweet Lily to arrive!

Prosper vs Celina

This past Friday was Celina's Homecoming and they played Prosper! It was a huge game, and the word on the street was that Celina would whoop Prosper's tail. Well...see the results for yourself...

Score at Half-time

Let the battle begin!

Yes...Prosper played an incredible game and came out ahead! It was unbelievable! They actually scored one more time after we left, so the final score was 38-14, Prosper!
Go Eagles!
We love our Celina friends, but we are not hiding the fact we are pumped for the Eagles, they both played a great game!
