Our baby girl is doing great...absolutely perfect in every way!
We, on the other hand...are not so perfect and are hoping Lily will be patient with us as we figure this parenting thing out! One thing we do know...is that our God is an incredible God! He created this miracle for His purpose and we plan to raise her to know Him in the most personal way and to live her life to glorify Him and make Him known.
Thank you Lord for this precious gift...

39 weeks...

Our sweet Lily is about the size of a mini watermelon this week...or at least that's the "norm"! Well, we found out today that our Lily is probably not the "norm", but she may be more like a medium to large watermelon!! ha ha ha

39 week baby bump!

38 weeks...

The estimated weight for Lily this week is about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long! She has a firm grasp, which we'll soon be able to test when we hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.

Now we just wait! We are so ready to hold our precious Lily in our arms!

37 weeks...

Lily is full term! This means that if she arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though our due date is still three weeks away. Our baby girl weighs about 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel. She could possibly have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long! So cool!

Our doctor appt. today went great! We are just waiting patiently for sweet Lily to arrive!

Prosper vs Celina

This past Friday was Celina's Homecoming and they played Prosper! It was a huge game, and the word on the street was that Celina would whoop Prosper's tail. Well...see the results for yourself...

Yes...Prosper played an incredible game and came out ahead! It was unbelievable! They actually scored one more time after we left, so the final score was 38-14, Prosper!

We celebrated Lauren's birthday with a Mexican Fiesta and some good ole' nanner pudding at our house with some friends! Happy Birthday Lauren, we love you!

36 weeks...

Our baby girl is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds, like a crenshaw melon, and is more than 18 1/2 inches long! At the end of this week, she will be considered full-term.

4 weeks to go

Our Dr. visit last week went great! She is growing and positioned just like she should be! We'll keep you posted on the next Dr. visit this week!

35 weeks...

Our sweet Lily doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds, about the weight of a honeydew melon. Because it's so snug in the womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight. (we are definitely doing that!!!)

5 weeks to go

We had our Dr. appt. today and everything is looking great! Our Dr. thinks she is maybe around 6lbs and we are still thinking she will arrive sometime at the end of the month or first of November! We got the scoop on what to do if contractions begin or Julie's water breaks...wow...it is really here! Time is flying by! Everyone told us it would seem like forever before she would get here...this has not been the case for us!

Prosper Homecoming 2009!

Prosper's homecoming was this past Friday night against Decatur!

The weather was perfect for football, it was a blast! Prosper reminds us so much of our home towns...the parade through town, the pep rally, the activities after the game, the dance on Saturday...so fun! The entire town participates in homecoming!

Julie loves this part right before the players bust through the sign! She was a cheerleader in HS and was the girl standing on the shoulders holding the sign...she remembers the excitement waiting for them to run out on the field!

34 weeks...

Lily now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds, like an average cantaloupe, and is almost 18 inches long! Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well.

The doctor visit on Friday went great! We go back in 2 weeks to learn about preparing for labor and see how Miss Lily is growing! Then our appointments are EVERY week! Woo Hoo!

33 weeks...

This week Lily weighs a little over 4 pounds, the weight of a pineapple, and has passed the 17-inch mark! Way to go Lily!
