We also celebrated Carter's birthday in June! Julie put her new sewing machine to work and started this t-shirt quilt for him! It is made out of all the youth t-shirts since we have been at our Prosper location of Prestonwood!

Lily had a blast this summer swimming with her friends!
Julie started a business in June and named it "giggles & coos"! She is sewing on clothes and making hair bows and accessories and many other things for little ones, and some clothes for adults! We had no idea this would happen after getting a sewing machine! ;)
Shortly after Julie started her business, she was given the opportunity to sell her creations in a quilt shop not far from Prosper!

Julie, her Mom & her sister all celebrating Mother's Day together!

Bluebonnets!

Well...we waited a little late to get a good bluebonnet picture this year...but if you look REAL close you can see a few in all the weeds!! Poor baby girl! She was a good sport and let us have fun taking her picture in the small patch of bluebonnets we found! Julie bought this "Made in Texas" onesie before Lily was born and realized it fit her now...so we had to get some pictures!!

This one is our favorite!

Looking off into the sunset!

"Don't Mess with Texas!" ha ha ha

Sweet baby girl!

Lily happenings...

It is so fun capturing what all Lily is doing and learning at this age so we can make memories for not only us, but for her when she is old enough to look back at these pictures and videos!

Here are just a few things she is doing at 6 months!

Lily loves "tubby time"! Here she is after her bath nibbling on her toes!
At least we know they are clean!!

She loves story time!

Lily loves her daddy's kisses!

We just added oatmeal to her diet, and she seems to enjoy it too!
At 6 months, she is nursing 4 times a day, plus eating oatmeal in the morning and rice cereal at night. Soon we will add vegetables to the mix! Can't wait to see what she likes!

Celebrating 7's FIRST Birthday!

Lily attended her very first birthday party this month!
We celebrated Miss Sevyn Trogdon turning ONE! Yippee!

The theme of the party was animal print & camo...so Lily was excited to put on her camo onesie and party with her friends!

Sevyn's Mom, Mendi, did an amazing job planning and decorating for the party!

Lily made some new friends at the party!

Lily gave Sevyn a pillow just her size to nap with! Julie made the pillowcase!

Here's the Birthday Girl posing with her proud Mommy & Daddy!

It was so fun to watch Sevyn figuring out how to eat her cake!
Didn't take long before she dug in with all fingers!

Great party Sevyn! We love you!

Playing catch up!

It has been way to long since we have updated our blog!
So, to our few faithful blog readers..."sorry" we will try to make it up!
Lily is almost 6 MONTHS!!!
Here is a quick update...more will come after her 6mo check-up!

Lily loves it when we read to her!
Carter is reading the Bible to her before going to bed! So sweet!

Lily has found a new snack! She is very excited about it as you can see!!

Just in case her toes aren't keeping her satisfied, we started her on rice cereal and she is a big helper with that! I guess we aren't giving it to her fast enough because she tries feeding it to herself!

Wow, we can't believe she'll be sitting up on her own soon!

She is fascinated with her tongue!

She's rolling everywhere and occasionally gets her knees under her and will scoot!

So, a few Sunday's ago...while Carter is talking during a parent meeting at church, Lily decides to show everyone a new trick she's learned! Yep, she is blowing raspberries! It's the cutest thing! What is so hilarious to us is that she probably saw another baby do it in the nursery that morning and had been thinking about how to do it all day and then "ta da" she figured it out...and she hasn't stopped since! ha ha

Turn up the volume!

Lily attended her very first Powerlunch at Prestonwood in Plano!
We were so excited to introduce her to our sweet friends David & Connie McKinley!
Dr. McKinley was a guest speaker for Powerlunch in April, so we went as a family to see him.
He was teaching Pastor at Prestonwood before leaving to Pastor a church in Georgia. He officiated our wedding in 2006, both of their kids were in our student ministry, and Julie was blessed to work with Connie at the bookstore! It was so great to see them!

Stay tuned for her 6 month check-up and more fun updates!
Lily went to her first birthday party...pics coming soon!
