Road Trip to Mississippi!

Amy Kendrick & Kyle Pearson were married on January 12th in Laurel, Mississippi!
Lauren, Kyley & Holly were Amy's roommates...so Julie hopped in the car with them for a ROAD TRIP they'll never forget!
Yes...we're on the side of the highway taking a picture before we pose in front of the "Welcome to Mississippi" state sign! None of us had been to MS other than Lauren for work. Julie had quite the experience since she has a phobia of public restrooms...the girls laughed at her for rolling her jeans up! Why can't all public restrooms be as nice as Cracker Barrel's?!

Holly & Lauren welcomed everyone to the state of MS!
This adorable little restaraunt is where the rehearsal dinner was.

On our way to the wedding!! (looks like we're on the show The Apprentice!!)

We posed with the beautiful bride...Mrs. Amy Pearson!!
This gorgeous home is where the reception was!

Julie's sister, Michelle, announced New Year's Day that they were expecting...well actually Julie's niece Keely, who is 5, announced it!! She and Laney will be big sisters! We are so excited!

God has been sharing the most beautiful sunsets with us up here in Prosper...we just had to share with you!
Aww...Carter cuddled up with his blanky at home after a long day at work!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Laney loved opening all her presents but I think the chocolate candy bar in her stocking was her favorite! Santa brought Keely a guitar!

We had our annual New Year's Eve party with many of our sweet friends, but this time we were able to invite everyone to our new home! This was one of the best New Year's! The best part was when we all gathered around in the living room and shared in a time of prayer praising God for who He is!

Homeowners!!!

The day has finally come...we are homeowners!
And what was the first thing we moved...our Christmas Tree of course! Yep, we cranked up the Christmas tunes and put up our tree in our very first home! So fun!!!
We are so thankful to the Lord for His faithfulness through this process...we will honor Him by using this home as a place where people will taste & see His truth!

Weekend Getaway!

Thursday, 11/15 - Saturday, 11/17

We went on a little getaway with Julie's family to a friend's lakehouse on Lake Cypress Springs in Mt. Vernon, TX! It was the perfect place to relax and spend time with our family, we are so thankful that our friends let us enjoy their beautiful lakehouse in East Texas.

Julie's nieces, Laney (3) and Keely (5), had a blast learning how to fish!

Keely raked up the fallen leaves for Laney and her to jump in!
Julie and her sister Michelle hanging out!

Carter caught the first fish! It took no time at all before Keely became a pro at fishing!

Julie's sisters family...The Perry's!

RICE 43, SMU 42!!!

Saturday, we went with a group of our friends to watch Wil Norris play football at the SMU stadium! Wil is a freshman and plays full back and special teams for Rice!
This is Julie's FIRST college football game ever!!
The day started with an amazing brunch at the Norris' home!

Val in her Rice Owls hoodie & Wil's mom Gail! ..............................Wil's Fan Club

Here they come! This was SMU's homecoming.

Half-Time......................................................... Will is #85!

Only 38 seconds left in the game...we were cheering so hard for Wil and the rest of the team!

Wil played so awesome! We got to see him catch his first pass!

WOW!!! What an exciting game!! Rice won in the LAST SECOND of the game!
WOO HOO!!!

Carter & Wil

Wil Norris was the first student Carter discipled and developed a friendship with when he began his internship in the student ministry at Prestonwood. Wil was in the 7th grade (2002).
Wil's parents, Woody & Gail, quickly became Carter's second family here in TX, and Julie became a part of their family and lived with the Norris' while she finished college.
We are so proud of Wil and his boldness in sharing his faith with his team and new friends at college. Please pray for Wil, that he will keep that boldness and that the Lord will use him in mighty ways. We love this sweet family!
