7YR Birthday!

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in... Revelation 3:20

On this day, 7 years ago, I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ! He radically transformed my life when I surrendered everything to Him and asked Him to save me from myself, my sin, and my desires for this world.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

I grew up thinking I was a Christian and that if I was a good person I would go to heaven. At 22 years old, I realized I was in need of a savior and being a “good” person was not my ticket into heaven. God started changing my heart and calling me to Him through the teaching of Pastor Graham and others at Prestonwood, the church I started visiting 11 years ago! At a young singles Bible Study called Metro, on May 20, 2002…God spoke to me through the teacher Stuart Hall, and I prayed and asked Jesus to forgive me and change me…and he has done just that and so much MORE! The Lord is faithful!

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9,10

Lord, thank you for saving me! This day will forever be special to me as you gave me a new life and have shown me love that I had never known before. My desire is for all who do not know you personally to have an encounter with you like this. I will never be the same and am forever grateful. In Awe…Your Beloved…Julie
