NICU - Day 15

The nurses said Kyndall is doing great today! Not a lot of changes to update...weight stayed about the same, eating good, and keeping her temp up! Mommy had a pretty bummer of a day...I was on my way to hold/feed her at 2pm today and ended up in the waiting room at Care Now to make sure I didn't have strep. Thankfully the strep test came back negative, but I was put on an antibiotic and steroid for the irritated throat and cough, which means I cannot see baby girl for 24hrs. We want nothing more than for Kyndall to continue to grow stronger and soon come home, but it was devastating to hear that I wouldn't be able to see her today. I'm so thankful Papa & Grandma went by to see her and Carter will go at her 11:30pm touch time tonight. There are certain "touch times" when we get to change her diaper, check her temperature, and feed her/hold her...8:30/11:30/2:30/5:30 am & pm. 

My amazing, loving husband shared this scripture with me today after I heard back from the NICU nurses & doctors and found out I couldn't see her...

"...fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Thank you Lord for this promise...I will cling to it as I trust that you will continue to strengthen Kyndall and I both.
